Nesta Robert Marley, known for the name Bob Marley was a Jamaican singer who pioneered the introduction of reggae music. Together with his friends, Marley formed the Wailing Wailers in 1963 and got their first big break when they signed a contract with Island Records in 1972. Throughout his career, Marley had sold more than 20 million records worldwide. Despite his death in 1981, Bob Marley’s legacy remains alive, and he is still one of the most beloved reggae artists up to the present.
