Norman Vincent Peale was an American religious leader, minister and author. He was a pastor for 52 years and also co-founded a religio-psychiatric outpatient clinic called the American Foundation of Religion and Psychiatry. His most well-known and significant accomplishment was his self-help book – The Power of Positive Thinking, published in 1952 and was on the New York Times Bestseller list for 186 weeks. He also hosted a radio program, which later expanded into television, called The Art of Living.
